After interviewing builders throughout the region, Lakewood Land Development, LLC will invite a select number of builders to become the founding members of the Lakewood Builder's Guild. Builders will be asked to join based on a lengthy list of qualifications including craftsmanship, experience, knowledge of the principles of new urbanism and enthusiasm for this unique project.

The Lakewood Builder's Guild will be assembled to preserve the architectural standards of the community, to encourage a high-level of construction quality, facilitate good communications between the developer and the building team, and to promote a sense of continuous improvement among all those involved in shaping the public and private realms of Lakewood.

The Lakewood Builder's Guild will have a strong understanding of the design principles that make up a traditional neighborhood as well as a belief in Lakewood's community ideals. This group of talented builders will be steadfastly committed to the overall vision of Lakewood and understand that the goal at Lakewood is not to just build houses, but to build a community.
